The Mandala Project

I like to get a good look at the very small things too and so I use a magnifying glass or the zoom of my digital camera quite often. Parts of dried plants, seeds and the odd flotsam found on the beach do have miraculous, even bizarre shapes when magnified. Having cultivated such interest for a while, makes me the owner of a lot of goods which I then discovered being useful materials for design. In the following I created a series of Mandalas.

Used materials: cow parsley stems, flower seeds, juniper berries, fig cactus wood, egg capsules of the cat shark, goldenrod stems, poppy seedpods, rosehip seeds, coriander seeds

additionally: photos, glass particles, mirrors, aluminium pieces
